Fancy Nancy Birthday Party

Ooh La La!  This was a splendiferous birthday celebration based on the Fancy Nancy books by Jane O'Connor

I loved this fancy shoe shaped cake cutter

A feather boa for each young attendee made everyone feel extra fancy.

Our Hat Making station the "Chic Chapeau Boutique" was the hit of the party.  The girls spent a long time designing their hats.  They chose decorations from an assortment of feather boa's, ribbons, butterflies and feathers.  We then held a fashion show ( with the song "I feel pretty") so the young ladies could model their creations.

Favors were the tiny hat box trios pictured in the far left above, they were filled with sweets.

After lunch, the girls headed to a Make your own Parfait station.  Sprinkles, Cherries, Syrups and Chocolate Chips were available.

Candyland Birthday Party

Believe it or not, the Christmas holidays are the perfect time to start thinking about a Candyland party.  There are so many candy themed ornaments, and the after christmas sales are the perfect time to pick up inexpensive paper plates, gingerbread houses etc.

Did you know that party stores sell "blank" pinata's that you can personalize to your party theme, by simply taping an uninflated mylar balloon to the front?  So easy!

Gingerbread house decorating is a great activity for a Candyland themed party.

A finished creation.

Everything is fancier on a stick - fruit kabobs!

A home made Candy Castle - one giant fridge box, and lots of stickers, glitter, and markers.
